a) Random Trigger Mode - 1
In Random Trigger Mode-1 (only in Non-interlaced, field
accumulation mode), CV-M90(rev.c) starts an exposure
(=accumulation of electric charge) at the falling edge of ext.
trigger pulse and ends the exposure according to the time set by
shutter (7-step fixed shutter speed), and outputs the accumulated
signal in one-field (odd-field in EIA and even-field in CCIR).
In this mode 1, EEN (Exposure ENable) pulse and WEN (Write
ENable) pulse are generated and output from the camera.
EEN pulse (4.0Vp-p at 75
Ω

non-terminated) indicates the
exposure time set by shutter, and it is useful to control the
duration time of lighting such as stroboscopic-light and harogen-
light. EEN pulse is output from pin no.4 of 6P Multi connector.
(See 5. Pin Assignment)
WEN pulse (4.0Vp-p at 75

non-terminated) is indicating the
duration time of effective video signal output, and it is useful to
set a timing with frame gabber and other image processing
equipment. WEN pulse is output from pin no.6 of 6P Multi
connector and pin no.7 of D-SUB 9pin connector. (See 5. Pin
Assignment)
To use random trigger mode, make following procedure.
1. Set SW1-4 switch on rear panel at ON position, to change
shutter function into Ext. Trigger Shutter Mode.
2. Check SW301A switch if it is set at OFF position tor Field
accumulation mode.
SW301 switch is located on PK8088 board.
3. Set SW1-5 on rear panel at ON position, to change Scanning
system into Non-interlace mode.
4. Set SW1-1, SW1-2 and SW1-3 on rear panel for optimum
shutter speed selection.
5. Input ext. trigger pulse (TTL: 2.0V ~ 5.0V) at pin no.5 of 6P
Multi connector.
6. Refer to the following ”Timing Charts”, and also to ”Caution
on Random Trigger Mode-1” .
7. For more information, see ”5. Pin Assignment” and ”7. Mode
Setting”.
