5.3 Interface circuits
5.3.1 Iris video output
This signal can be used for lens iris control in Continuous and
Pre-dump modes. When Auto Iris lens Control Signal Output (AIC) is
set to 0=ON and Iris State Control (IRSC) is set to 0=Video, this
function is activated. IRSC also has 1=Close and 2=Open and both
functions force the lens iris to close or open, if these commands are
applied.
The signal for iris video output is taken from the video signal after
the gain control. However, if Iris Reverse Gain (IRRG) is set to ON,
the added gain is deducted and as the result, the output is identical
to the CCD direct output. This function works in the AGC mode too.
The signal is 1.0 V p-p (with H-sync) from 75
without termination.
The iris video signal is composed to average the video level in the center area of each frame and can
be output as a composite signal with H-sync. As shown in the following figure, each frame has its
own video level which is averaged.
