Set Up Printers with USB Virtual Printer Port

It is the first method of setting up your printers. If your printers are MFP types, DGI types,
host-based, bidirectional, or not network enabled, this is the only method to set up. Even if your
printer is network enabled, this method is also recommended for future compatibility and
expandability. With this method, every client computer must go through below step 3 to step 6
to use the printer.

Note:

If you want to install HP all-in-one series printer drivers in Windows, you are advised to

connect the MFP to PC during installation.

If your printers are network enabled, few more methods of setting up your printers are available,
depending on specific network environments and equipment. However, please consider using
the first method whenever possible.

Connect your printer to
MFP Server and connect
MFP Server to Network

Power on your
printer and MFP
Server

Follow the screen to
install printer driver
until the process is
finished

Highlight the printer
and click “Link”

Install Control
Center software on
each computer

Click “Set Auto-Link
Printer”, select the
correct printer and click
“Apply”
