(

) Then connect the pipes to the filtering group, as shown
(pipe P to the pump and pipe F to the filter).
NOTE:
if flexible tubes are used, you will need suitable fit-
tings/couplings for connection to the fittings
ø 50 mm internal -
ø 63 mm external installed on the pump and filter.
Andros, Oxia:
(

) Disconnect the pipe attached to the skimmer by loos-
ening the coupling clamps.
(
33
) Run the pipes through the holes you made previously
and then connect pipe F
(coming from the filter)
to the one you
have just disconnected using the coupling (
34
).
(
35
) Connect pipe P
(connected to the pump intake)
to the
skimmer by means of the coupling and clamps provided.
Delos-Delfi:
(
36-26a
) Thread the pipes through the previously made
holes.
(
37-37a
) Cut the indicated pipe and attach the provided fit-
tings to both ends.
Connect the pipe P to the suction intake pipe and the pipe F to the
skimmer pipe.
Then put the cover panels back on the MaxiJacuzzi
®
.
Method of use
Do not use the filter for extended periods with water temperature
below 4° C.
Before filling the MaxiJacuzzi
®
, first remove the cartridge filter in
the skimmer, since filtering is provided by the spa-pak.
After filling the MaxiJacuzzi
®
in accordance with the instructions
in the respective manual (enclosed with the product), move the
lever of the selector valve to
“BACKWASH”
(backwash of sand
with disposable water).
Power up the system to activate the pump and leave it running
for 2-3 minutes.
If the level of water in the MaxiJacuzzi
®
drops below the
skimmer, stop the pump immediately and fill the water back
up to the correct level.
Stop the pump and place the selector valve in the
“RINSE”
position (rinsing of sand with disposable water).
Turn the pump back on and leave it running for about 30 seconds.
Stop the pump again, check the level of water in the
MaxiJacuzzi
®
and put the valve lever in the
“FILTRATION”
posi-
tion. The filter group is now ready for operation.
NOTE:
The filter traps almost all impurities and sediments that
get into the MaxiJacuzzi
®
during use. However, algae, bacteria
and other micro-organisms that may contaminate the water must
be constantly monitored and eliminated using specific products.
Refer to the use and installation manual of the MaxiJacuzzi
®
for
information on water treatment and maintenance.
Maintenance
To clean the quartz sand filter, you will periodically need to per-
form backwashing based on the information provided by the
gauge located on the selector valve. This means that you will
need to note the pressure indicated on the gauge during system
start-up, or at the end of a backwash period. This value varies
depending on the type of system and the length of the pipes in
the system, and is normally less than one atm. When this value
rises to 0.2 atm above the initial value, you must perform back-
washing of the filter.
To perform backwashing, power off the system, and set the
selector valve to
“BACKWASH”.
Then activate the pump by pow-
ering up the system.
Make sure that any valves
(v)
installed on the connection pipes
(
1
) are open.
After a few minutes, when the drain water is clean, restore the
level of water in the MaxiJacuzzi
®
to the proper level. Also restore
normal operating conditions
(power off, set selector valve lever to
"FILTER" and power up the system).
Constantly monitor the water level of the
MaxiJacuzzi
®
during this phase (discharge) because
if it drops below the skimmer, the pump runs dry and
may be damaged.
Never perform any tasks on the selector valve without
first disconnecting the power supply to the system.
