8.10 TROUBLESHOOTING ______________________________________________________
Before making any adjustments or performing maintenance, read maintenance section for procedures and warnings.
Symptoms

Solution
Engines does not start.
Choke in wrong position.
Empty fuel tank or dirty fuel.
Fuel shut-off valve.
Engine / Spark Plug.
Engine switch off.
See Engine Manual.
Drain and refill with fresh, clean fuel.
Open valve.
See Engine Manual.
Turn on switch.
Engine hard to start or runs
erratically, stalls, looses power or
stops.
Choke in wrong position.
Fuel leaks.
Dirty or incorrect fuel.
Loose wiring.
Air intake plugged.
Vent in fuel cap plugged.
See Engine Manual.
Tighten fuel hose clamps.
Refill with proper grade, clean fuel.
Check spark plug wire.
Clean air-intake and air cleaner.
Clean fuel cap.
Mower does not react to O.P.C. lever.
Parking brake engaged.
Reel clutch disengaged.
Disengage brake.
See Section 5.2.
Reel does not cut, cuts unevenly.
Misadjusted.
Position of reel clutch lever.
Adjust, see (Section 7.2, Section 7.3,
and Section 7.5).
Engage lever.
