Installation Notes
• Wash air filter pre-cleaner in liquid detergent and
water. Squeeze dry in a clean cloth. Saturate in clean
engine oil and squeeze out excess oil in a clean,
absorbent cloth. Replace air filter pre-cleaner if it
remains dirty or is damaged.
• Do not use petroleum solvents such as kerosene to
clean air filter cartridge.
• Do not use pressurized air to clean air filter cartridge.
• Install air filter assembly by reversing the order of
removal.
Canister (Gasoline)
Removal and Installation
See Figure 3-38.

Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)

Loosen hose clamps (5 and 6) and disconnect hoses
(2 and 3).

Remove screw (1) and canister (4).
Installation Note
Install canister by reversing the order of removal.

Allow the engine to cool completely.

and screw (5) from the muffler (1) and muffler
bracket (6).
