OCEANO RT2500S/RT5000S Series – User Guide
The different menus are described in the next sections. The sub-routines accessible from
the
Parameter Settings
menu represent the heart of the interactive programming module.
It provides access to dialogue boxes, further defined onwards in this document, enabling
transponder configurations to be prepared and unit commands to be transmitted to a
transponder through the
Send
buttons.
Each of the
Send
buttons available in the dialogue boxes is used to transmit the NMEA
0183 command corresponding to the parameter(s) situated in the same area as the
button. Some commands cannot be transmitted through acoustic channels. Hence, in this
mode, the
Send
buttons relating to the commands which are not allowed are grayed.
The history file will contain all the NMEA 0183 commands sent to the transponders (either
per unit through the
Send
commands, or globally through the
Command / Transponder
Load
menu). The information is stored as follows:
•
Date of the command
•
Type of the command (serial or acoustic)
•
Number of the transponder which command is intended
•
The NMEA 0183 command
•
Positive acknowledgement of the command, or >>> TIME-OUT <<< Message.
