Instruction manual
Switching off
Press and release On / Off switch (4).
[F2]
STEPLESS SPEED CONTROL
The machine runs with variable speed
between 0 and maximum depending on the
pressure applied to the On / Off switch (4).
Light pressure results in a low rotational
speed thus allowing smooth, controlled starts.
Do not load the machine so heavily that it comes to a
standstill.
VARIABLE SPEED
With the variable speed thumbwheel (3) the required
speed can be selected (also while running).
∙
Press On / Off switch (4) and retain with locking
button for On / Off switch (5).
∙
Set the needed speed.
The required speed is dependent on the material and
can be determined with practical trials.
After longer periods of working at low speed, allow the
machine to cool by running for approx. 3 minutes at
maximum speed with no load.

CHANGING THE ROTATIONAL
DIRECTIONS
Operate the rotational direction switch (2) only at a
standstill.
With the rotational direction switch (2), the rotational
direction of the machine can be switched (when the On /
Off switch (4) is operated, the rotational direction switch
(2) is locked).
Right Rotation
Press the rotational direction switch (2) through to the
right stop.
Left Rotation
Press the rotational direction switch (2) through to the
left stop.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! Before drilling check that
there are no hidden hazards such as
electrical cables, water or gas pipes
running below the surface. Use metal
/ voltage detector.
Drilling wood and plastic
To prevent wood splittering around the drill holes on the
reverse side, place a piece of scrap timber under the
material to be drilled.
Drilling metal
Metal such as sheet steel, aluminium and brass may be
drilled. Mark the point to be drilled with a center punch
to help the drill bit tip to locate.
Screwdriving
To prevent a slip or damage to the screwhead, match
the screwdriver bit to the screwhead size. To remove
screws, move the direction switch to the reversing
position and apply pressure to the screwhead and
depress the trigger slowly.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Before any work on the device itself,
pull the mains plug.
∙
Always keep the tool and the ventilation slots (if
present) cleaned. Regular cleaning and maintenance of
the appliance will ensure efficiency and prolong the life
of your tool.
∙
If the tool should fail despite the rigorous
manufacturing and testing procedures, the repair should
be carried out by an authorized IVT customer service.
∙
Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight, to be sure the
tool is in safe working condition.
∙
Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
∙
Use only original spare parts. Parts not produced
by manufacturer may cause poor fit and possible injury.
∙
Store the tool in a dry room out of reach of kids and
away from any flammable material.
∙
Never wet the device or spray water on it!
