Operation

Charging the Opener and Preserver
It is recommended that the wine opener and wine preserver are charged for at least 12 hours before using it
for the first time. The wine opener can be used to open up to 30 bottles when fully charged. Please follow
the instructions for charging the unit below:

1.   Connect the DC power plug into the DC power socket at the back of the charging base.

2.   Place the wine opener and wine preserver unit into the charging base.
Ensure that the arrows on the unit and base align with each other so that the electrical connections
     are made correctly.

3.   Insert the AC/DC adapter into a power outlet and switch on the power.

4.   The charging indicator will illuminate blue, indicating that the battery is charging.
It will take 10 to 12 hours to fully charge the battery.

5.    Switch off the supply and remove the AC/DC adapter from the outlet. Remove the DC power plug from the
      charging base.

Opening a Wine Bottle using the Wine Opener

1.    Before extracting the cork, please remove any seal from the bottle using the foil cutter provided (see below).

2.    Place the wine opener on top of the wine bottle, making sure that it remains upright at all times. If you
hold the wine opener at an angle to the bottle it will not remove the cork properly.(see below).

3.   Hold the wine opener and bottle firmly. Press and hold the pull button (

).

The corkscrew spiral will turn in a clockwise direction and enter the cork, then gradually remove it from the
bottle. When the mechanism stops, the cork will be visible through the transparent window and the blue
     indicator will go off.

4.   Lift the wine opener away from the bottle. To remove the cork, simply press and hold the release button (

).

The spiral will turn in a counterclockwise direction and release the cork (see below).

5.    Return the cork remover to the charging base when not in use, so as to protect the mechanism.

6.    This wine opener is designed for use with traditional corks, but it may be used with synthetic corks as well.
Synthetic corks are smaller and do not expand like normal corks, so sometimes they may stick on the spiral.
If this happens, hold the cork firmly with a small pair of pliers.
       Press the release button (

) and allow the cork to be slowly released.

Pouring with the Wine Aerator

1.    Place the aerator into the bottle neck snugly to allow the wine to pour smoothly without
      splashing (see below).

Vacuuming a wine bottle using the Wine Preserver

Not all bottles need to be vacuumed. We recommend that you vacuum bottles in order to keep remaining wine
fresh for 3 to 5 days.

1.    Place the wine bottle on a flat surface.

2.     Insert a wine stopper into the wine bottle.

3.     Hold the wine stopper and wine bottle neck securely in one hand and place the non-slip mouth of the
wine preserver on the wine stopper (see below).

4.   Keep the wine preserver as straight as possible and in line with the wine bottle.

5.   Push down on the wine stopper while pressing the power “on” button at the same time.

6.  The wine preserver will remove the air from the bottle while making a clacking noise.

7.    The clacking noise will become slower and stop suddenly after 20 seconds. Do not release the power button
      until the unit stops.

8.    Remove the wine preserver and replace it on the charging base until it is needed again.

9.    If the non-slip mouth attaches itself to the wine stopper, hold the wine stopper and the neck of the bottle
securely in one hand and tilt the wine preserver away from the wine stopper to break the suction.
This should prevent air from re-entering the bottle.

Repeat the above operating process if necessary.

Note: If the bottle has more than half of its wine remaining, only one session should be needed.
For less than half a bottle, we suggest you repeat the above process a second time.

Setting Date Indicators

1.    Use the “

” symbol to indicate the date when the bottle was sealed with your wine preserver.

2.    Gently swivel the silver ring left or right until the correct date is in line with the “

” symbol (see below).

Reopening a Sealed Bottle

1.   Firmly hold the bottle in one hand and gently ease the wine stopper away from the bottle with the other hand.

2.  Store the wine stoppers in a clean safe place until they are needed again.

Care and maintenance

After Use

•    Return your wine opener and wine preserver to the charging base so that they are fully charged and
available to use at any time.

•     Wipe the wine opener, wine preserver, and charging base with a soft, dry cloth.

Battery & Product Disposal Information

•    Before you dispose of your wine opener and wine preserver, remove the rechargeable batteries and
     dispose of them responsibly.
