8. FREQUENCY SCANNING
The receiver has several systems to detect anomalies in the event that other devices or systems
interfere with communications between the transmitter and the receiver. Among these systems
there is the scanning of frequencies, which will help to track the entire band and find the frequency
channels that are or have been occupied by some other devices that transmit within the same band.
By finding the channels that are or have b
een occupied, by deduction, it’s possible to know those
that are free and, therefore, it
’s convenient to configure one of them to avoid these anomalies.
While the receiver is at rest, it performs a scan of the free and occupied channels of the whole
band. If the scanned channel is busy, it will check whether the signal is its own or from another
device. If it’s recognized as its own, the working channel will be updated with the new settings and it
will continue working with this new working channel.
If there is no signal recognized as its own in the scanned channel, the channel will simply be
recorded if it’s occupied or free.
The occupied channel status will prevail over the free channel status, in other words, as soon as a
channel is occupied it will be recorded even though later
it’s found as free. This record is erased as
soon as the receiver is out of power.
