SET UP AND OPERATION
Assembly
1.
Always wear gloves, eye protection, and appropriate safety gear when working with wire pullers.
2.
Remove iTOOLco Cannon 6K Puller from shipping crate.
3.
iTOOLco Cannon 6K is designed to be used with a drill motor, Milwaukee #1680-20.
4.
Plug in the foot switch to the 120 Volt power supply and the C6K puller.
5.
Make sure the motor is set to forward. Test the C6K by stepping on the foot switch. For pulling the
capstans should rotate so that the rope starts over the top. (not under the bottom) and wraps are
added accordingly.
6.
To start, set the speed switch (located on the motor) to low.
7.
Use the low speed capstan to start the pull. Use 1 to 3 wraps of rope around the capstan. Use the
rope roller guide and always stand to the side of the puller.
8.
Step on the foot switch and begin to take up the slack in the rope.
9.
Once the wire head has entered the conduit you may determine at which speed to pull the wire.
10.
If a higher speed is desired, switch speeds on the motor by releasing the foot switch. Once the puller
has stopped, rotate the speed switch to high, and /or move the rope to the high speed capstan.
11.
Complete the wire pull.
