WATER HEATER - GAS/
ELECTRIC
–If Equipped
(with Motor Aid water heating system)
The gas/electric water heater has a dual power
feature. It can operate from propane gas or 120-
volt house current; or it can use both at the same
time for quicker recovery at times when you are
using a lot of hot water.
Read the Water Heater Operation Manual for
complete Safety Warnings, Operating
Instructions and Maintenance Information
before operating the water heater.
Be sure the water heater is filled with water
before starting either electric or propane gas
operation.
To fill the water heater, turn the
Water Pump switch on and open a hot water
faucet anywhere in the coach. When water begins
to flow steadily from the faucet, the water heater
is full.
For Propane Gas Operation
Press the Water Heater switch on the Monitor
Panel. The “Pilot Out” light will glow for about
10-15 seconds, then it will go out. The “Heater
On” indicator will remain lit. If the “Pilot Out”
light comes on during gas operation, it means that
the burner has gone into “lockout” mode and
must be restarted. If this happens, turn the Water
Heater switch off for about 5 minutes, then turn it
back on.
See the water heater user’s guide in your
InfoCase for further information.
For Electric Operation
Turn on the Water Heater electric element
switch. The shoreline must be connected or
generator running for electric operation.
For Quick Recovery Operation
(Dual Heating)
Turn On both Water Heater switches; the gas
one on the monitor panel and the electric one.
This will help reheat the water heater tank more
quickly than a single source would alone. Use
this mode when you are using a larger than
normal volume of hot water.
