BUTTON PROGRAMMING 

X-SCROL-XROHS, Rev A, B, C, D, E, F

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

WHAT YOU CAN DO: 

Any (or all) of the six keys can be programmed to perform any one of the following functions: 

Left mouse button 

Single click 

Left mouse button 

Double click 

Left mouse button 

Click and Drag (Auto-Hold button) 

Right mouse button 

Single click 

Right mouse button 

Double click 

Right mouse button 

Click and Drag (Auto-Hold button) 

Middle mouse button 

Single click 

Middle mouse button 

Double click 

Middle mouse button 

Click and Drag (Auto-Hold button) 

Speed Toggle  (each press of the button toggles between fast and slow response) 
Scroll Toggle  (each press of the button toggles between scroll-wheel motion and cursor) 

In addition, the device has audible tones that are sounded (beeps) during Scroll mode and “Click and Drag” 
modes.  These audible tones can be disabled or enabled by button programming. 

BUTTON DATA:  
The 

evolution

 keys are numbered from 1 to 6.  Key 1 is the leftmost key. 

The default Button states (Factory defaults) for the X-SCROL-XROHS are: 

Key 1: Scroll Toggle 
Key 2: Left Mouse Button 
Key 3: Left Double Click 
Key 4: Left Click & Drag 
Key 5: Middle Mouse Button 
Key 6: Right Mouse Button 

Button Programming is a user-initiated operation. 

General notes on Programming: 

Each step in programming is acknowledged by a buzzer (1, 2, or 3 tones)

After 20 seconds of inactivity, the programming mode is cancelled with no changes
implemented.

If the user selects a non-existent key operation, an error is reported with 10 short beeps, and
programming is cancelled.

There are two (2) programming options: 

1. Program Button actions (what buttons will do when pressed)
2. Program Device features (overall device operation, currently controls only audible tone options)
