Mattress Assembly
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 4.2.
1. Place the mat assembly on a clean work table.
2. Snap three air sacks to the mat along the far left side (viewed from foot end).
3. Note the two snaps closer together at the junction of the foot and seat section air sacks.
4. Attach hoses and secure retainer straps.
NOTE: The short hose goes to the foot, middle hose to the seat, and the long hose with CPR flag to
the head air sacks.
5. Snap the other side of the air sacks to the mat.
NOTE: The CPR flag MUST extend outside the assembly. The hoses should extend out the foot
end on the left side.
6. Connect the hoses to the power unit and turn on power.
7. Check for abnormal leaks or misalignment.
8. Cover the mattress with the therapy pad and snap in place.

Troubleshooting
SYMPTOM
SOLUTION
Power unit does not turn On.
Check the power cord. Be sure it is plugged into both the wall
outlet and into the side of the pump housing. Check that outlet has
power by plugging in a device that you know is working.
Control knob is not changing comfort level
settings.
If the power unit is on AUTO FIRM you will not be able to adjust
the comfort level until you turn off AUTO FIRM, by pressing the
Therapy Button.
AUTO FIRM mode turns off after some
time.
The AUTO FIRM mode is intended for temporary situations. This
mode is only active for 30 minutes. Then the pump returns to the
previous setting.
