Using The Twist Inflation Valve (FIGURE 6)

NOTE: The Infinity AirFlo CAN be inflated using the twist

inflation valve. This is provided in the event the quick dis-

connection valve CANNOT be used.

1. Remove the outer cover. Refer to REMOVING/IN-

STALLING SEAT COVERS in this instruction sheet.

2. Feed the twist inflation valve through the twist infla-

tion valve holder on the side of the seat (FIGURE 6).

3. Rotate the tip of the twist inflation valve COUNTER-

CLOCKWISE to “open” it (FIGURE 6).

4. Using a small hand pump or a small bicycle pump,

pump air into the twist inflation valve until the cells of

the AirFlo insert are slightly arched (DETAIL “B” of

FIGURE 5).

5. Rotate the tip of the twist inflation valve CLOCKWISE

to “close” it so that air CANNOT escape from the

AirFlo insert (FIGURE 6).

6. Place the Infinity AirFlo (without the outer cover) on

top the seating surface.

NOTE: At this point, the Infinity AirFlo should be “resting”

on top of the seating surface.

7. Position the end-user on the Infinity AirFlo (without

the outer cover) in a normal seating position, making

sure the armrests, footrests and backrests are ad-

justed optimally.

8. Position a hand between the Infinity AirFlo (without

the outer cover) and the end-user’s buttocks and lo-

cate the lowest bony prominence of the end user

(DETAIL “C” of FIGURE 5).

9. There should be approximately 1/2 - inch between the

end-user’s lowest bony prominence and the foam base

of the Infinity AirFlo (DETAIL “C ” of FIGURE 5). Per-

form one (1) of the following:
A. If 1/2 - inch is achieved, continue on to STEP 12
B. If 1/2 - inch is NOT achieved, continue on to STEP

10.

10. Rotate the tip of the twist inflation valve COUNTER-

CLOCKWISE to “open” it and allow air to release

until there is approximately 1/2 - inch between the end-

user’s lowest bony prominence and the foam base of

the Infinity AirFlo (FIGURE 6).

11. Rotate the tip of the twist inflation valve CLOCKWISE

to “close” it so that air CANNOT escape from the

cushion (FIGURE 6).

NOTE: To INCREASE the distance between the end-

user’s lowest bony prominence and the foam base of the

cushion, remove the end-user from the Infinity AirFlo and

repeat STEPS 3-10.
