TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS
•
The customer must make sure that the unit is installed with the water to the desired max water
level marked on the side of the filter. Also must allow time for the filter to fill with water so that
all the air has been pushed out.
•
Customer must carry out regular maintenance on their aquarium; the unit will block more
quickly if the aquarium is not cleaned regularly. Sludge and debris can accumulate inside the
unit and cause blockages. Debris should be removed manually as well as possible before
installing the filter and then on a regular basis.
•
The cartridge filter design is specifically built around easy access to replace the filter cartridges.
This means the outflow is powered by gravity which can appear to be slower than other
internal power filters.
•
In reality the CF filter range delivers the same, if not more, flow than conventional internal
power filters but the way it is returned via the water return cascade can appear less but works
just as effectively in filtration.
Check the impeller regularly and make sure cleaning is carried out as per the instruction manual
provided.
