INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

This luminaire is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local regulations by a person 

familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved. To assure full compliance with local 

codes and regulations, check with your local electrical inspector before installation. To prevent electrical shock, turn off 

electricity at the breaker before proceeding. Retain these instructions for future reference.

 

•  Install this kit only in luminaires that have the construction features shown in the photographs and/or drawings.

 

•  Do not attempt to install or use the IR6-600WH module until you read and understand the installation

 

  instructions.

 

•  Verify power is off before installing or un-installing.

 

•  Do not use the IR6-600WH if the lens, housing, or power cables are damaged.

 

•  IR6-600WH must be installed in a 6” IC or non - IC recessed downlight. See UL Approved Housing list.

 

 

•  The IR6-600WH has no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open this product.

 

•  Do not exceed 120VAC and 60 Hz.

 

•  Do not replace module with power on.

 

•  Avoid looking directly into light beam as the high brightness beam may damage the eyes.

 

•  Do not repair or modify this product.

 

•  The LED lighting source is not waterproof. For high humidity use, this lighting source must be used in a fixture

 

  with IP65 rating.

 

•  To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not pinch or damage exposed wiring during installation. Keep wiring 

 

  away from edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.

WARNING

Risk of Fire, Electrical Shock or Personal Injury

1.  Remove IR6-600WH and Edison-style socket 

  adapter from carton.

2.  Remove existing trim and CFL or Incandescent

  bulb to reveal the screw-in Edison-style socket.

  If the recessed housing has a socket plate, 

  remove the socket plate from the recessed 

  housing, then disconnect the socket plate from

  the socket and dispose of plate.

3.  Connect the Edison-style connector to the 

  recessed housing socket (as shown in Figure 1).

  NOTE: If a different style socket is already 

  mounted, confirm the housing is UL Approved 

  for the LED module.
4.  Connect the included Edison-style connector to 

  the IR6-600WH module (as shown in Figure 2).
5.  Squeeze torsion springs together and install into 

  torsion spring brackets inside recessed housing

  (as shown in Figure 3).

  NOTE: If housing does not have torsion spring 

  receivers, replace housing with one that is 

  compatible with LED module (see page 4

  for UL Approved Housing list).
6.  Carefully route wires into fixture and push 

  module up flush to ceiling surface (as shown in

  Figure 4).
