3. If no device will be installed in this location, install a filler blank in this location.
Installing a Tape Drive
To install a tape drive into Intel
®
Server System SR2600UR/SR2625UR, your system
must meet the following requirements:
•
You must purchase either the SATA or SCSI tape drive kit, order number
ASR2500SATAPE or ADRTAPEKIT.
•
You must purchase a 3.5-inch tape drive.
•
You must have an add-in card that supports a tape drive.
After purchasing the tape drive kit and the tape drive, use the following instructions to
install the tape drive. In addition to these instructions, refer to the instructions that came
with your tape drive for additional requirements.
1. Remove the default filler panel from the server system by pressing the blue release
lever (see letter “A” in Figure 73 ) and pushing it forward to release it and then
sliding it out from the front of the system (see letter “B” in Figure 73 ).
