Power Output Calculations
One of the parameters in the “apply_behavior” command from the Gateway is the output
power level. This level can be adjusted from 0 to 31.5 dBm. To ensure compliance with the
maximum EIRP restrictions defined in the certification grant, these commands must be
scripted
by an authorized installer or system integrator
.
The maximum power level is a function of the antenna gain and the cable/connector losses
as shown in the equation below.
