Power Subsystem
4.1.1
DC Systems
There are twofour redundant DC power feeds:. A and B. Each DC power feed provides input to
two power supplies in each of the two power trays. Feed A provides power to the odd numbered
power supplies while Feed B provides power to the even numbered power supplies.
This configuration provides 2+2 redundant power to DC systemseach power domain.
4.2
DC System Redundancy
The system is designed to continue operation with any single fault. Examples of faults include:
•
Power feed failure
•
Power supply failure
If a single power feed fails, the system continues to receive power from the four power supplies
powered from the healthy feed. If a single power supply fails, the system continues to receive
adequate power from the healthy power supplies.
Table 5, “ZT 5085 Power Fault Tolerance Matrix
lists affects of various types of power faults with250 W power supplies.
