Assembling the Lock
Note
For UL conformity, the lock is to be mounted a minimum of
15 inches (381mm) from any opening that can allow access
through the opening to manipulate the lock.
5.5.1
Mounting the INSYS Lock 300 / 500 Master
Take
a screwdriver suitable for the 4 screws within the scope of
delivery and tools suitable for drilling fastening points for the
screws into the safe / secure storage unit.
Caution
Work carried out at and near the lock may cause irreparable
damage to the lock.
Do
not insert the boring head into the pre-cast holes
of the lock.
Do not carry out
boring, grinding
and
welding
at or near the lock
before, during or after the assembly. At and near the lock, avoid
activity that could cause metal cuttings or flying sparks.
Improper assembly may cause damage to the lock /
jeopardise the security of the items to be protected.
Use the dimensional data in the illustration below for the correct
positions of the fastening points. Do not mount the lock in an area
of the secure storage unit in which there is an aperture. Mount the
lock onto an even surface in such a way that its bolt is under
pressure not more than 10 N in closing direction and otherwise is
not under pressure or tension.

Drill 4 fastening points into the inner side of the secure storage unit (within the
protected premises) according to the dimensional data in the following illustration.
