IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

When using electrical appliances, 

especially when children are present, 

basic safety precautions should always be 

followed, including the following: 

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE 

USING. KEEP AWAY FROM WATER.

As with most electrical appliances, 

electrical parts are electrically live even 

when the switch is off. To reduce the risk 

of death by electric shock:

1. 

Always unplug immediately after 

using.

2. 

Do not use while bathing or 

showering.

3. 

Do not place or store appliance 

where it can fall or be pulled into a 

tub or sink.

4. 

Do not immmerse in water or other 

liquid.

5. 

If an appliance falls into water, 

unplug it immediately.  Do not 

reach into water.

6. 

Do not use if plug is loose in the 

outlet, as there may be a risk of fire, 

electrical shock, electrical shortage, 

or burning.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, 

fire, or injury to persons:

 

1. 

When not in use, the appliance 

should be disconnected and stored 

in a safe, dry location, out of reach 

of children. Allow appliance to cool 

before storing.

2. 

The appliance should never be left 

unattended when plugged in.

3. 

Close supervision is necessary 

when this appliance is used by, on, 

or near children or individuals with 

certain disabilities.

4. 

Use this appliance only for its 

intended use as described in this 

manual. Do not use attachments not 

recommended by the manufacturer.

5. 

Handle cord carefully for longer life 

and do not put any stress on the 

cord where it enters the handle. 

Avoid jerking, twisting or straining, 

especially at the plug connections.

6. 

Never operate this appliance if it 

has a damaged cord or plug. If it 

is not working properly, or if it has 

been dropped, damaged, or come 

into contact with water. Return the 

appliance to a service center for 

examination and repair in order to 

avoid hazard. Do not attempt to 

repair the appliance yourself.

7. 

Keep the appliance and the cord 

away from water and heated 

surfaces. Do not wrap the cord 

around the appliance since this will 

cause the cord to wear prematurely 

and break.

8. 

Keep heated surfaces clean and 

free from dust, dirt, and hair spray. 

If cleaning becomes necessary, 

disconnect the appliance from the 

power source, allow it to cool, then 

wipe the exterior with a damp cloth.

9. 

Never use while sleeping.

10.  Never drop or insert any object 

into any opening or hole of the 

appliance.

11.  Do not use outdoors or operate 

where aerosol (spray) products 

are being used or where oxygen is 

being administered.

12.  Do not place the appliance directly 

on any unprotected surface while 

the styler is plugged in, hot, or 

cooling down after use.

13.  Do not use an extension cord with 

this appliance. 

14.  If the power cord is damaged, 

it must be replaced by the 

manufacturer, its service agent or 

similarly qualified persons in order 

to avoid a hazard.

15.  Do not use this appliance near 

bathtubs, showers, basins or other 

vessels containing water.

16.  In a double-insulated appliance, 

two systems of insulation are 

provided instead of grounding. No 

additional means for grounding 

should be added to the appliance. 

Servicing a double-insulated 

appliance requires extreme care 

and knowledge of the system and 

should be done only by qualified 

service person.

17.  Brush slowly and carefully to avoid 

contact with skin or scalp, make 

sure to always brush hair with the 

bristles facing away from the scalp  

to avoid the possibility of burning 

the skin.
