Instructions for Use

Before using the InstaJACK

turn off the ignition, activate the hazard

warning flashers, and set parking break.

In automatic cars:

 Put car in park.

In manual transmission cars:

If car is facing downhill, put car in

reverse gear. If car is facing uphill, put car in first gear.

Follow the tire changing instructions that are described in your

Vehicle-Owner’s Manual.

Plug the InstaJACK into the 12V Cigarette lighter socket of the vehicle.

The green light indicates that you have a good connection. If light

does not illuminate. Reset the plug in the socket until the green

indicator light comes on.

 •

Before raising the car,

remove the wheel’s hub cap, and use a lug

wrench to break the tension on the lug nuts on the wheel. Do not

remove the lug nuts, just loosen them.

If it is dark, or in poor visual conditions, turn on the BriteLight and

position the InstaJACK to illuminate the wheel when removing the

lug nuts, or to light your work area under the car when positioing the

InstaJACK

 • Consult your vehicle-owner’s manual and find the correct location

under the vehicle. Place the InstaJACK under the car along side the

wheel that needs changing.

Flip down the InstaJack Easy-View Mirrors and use these to see under

the car to accurately position the InstaJACK.

Press the InstaJACK “UP” control and watch as the InstaJACK rises

under the car. Use the Easy-View mirrors and adjust the position of

the InstaJACK as the jack rises. Make sure that the rising jack connects

exactly on the jack-location position that is described in your Vehicle-

Owner’s Manual.

Keep pressing the “UP” control until the car wheel lifts off the floor.

Keep raising the car until it is high enough to get the inflated spare

wheel in place. The Jack will switch off automatically if you extend it

to its limit.

While the car is lifting always be alert. It is possible for any jack to

slip and thus allow the car to fall back to the ground. While the car

is in the air do NOT lean on the car or push it. Never enter a car

while using the InstaJack.

 • Change the wheel as indicated in the Vehicle-Owner’s Manual.

Before lowering the car,

put the lug nuts back on the wheel. Use a lug

wrench to tighten the lug nuts on the wheel, as described in your

Vehicle-Owner’s Manual

• When finished, use the “DOWN” control to bring the car down.

Be cautious when lowering the Jack. Do not get fingers or other

items near to the InstaJack. Be careful not to trap the power cord.

 • Double check that the lug nuts are tightened. Re-tighten the lug nuts

and replace the hub caps.
