www.insigniaproducts.com

Using your toaster

1

Put up to two bread slices into the bread slot.

2

Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.

3

Set the control knob to the desired browning level (1 is light and 7 is
dark).

Note

Using your toaster the first time

• Remove all protective wrappings prior to toasting.
• There may be manufacturing residue or oil in the toaster or

heating element which can emit an odor for the first use. This
is normal and will not occur after you use it several times.

• Set the control knob to 7, then lower the control handle until

it latches into place. When the cycle is done, let the toaster
cool down, then begin using it normally.

Notes

• If the toaster starts to smoke, press

CANCEL

to stop

toasting immediately.

• Avoid toasting food with extremely runny ingredients such

as butter.

• Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots

without unplugging the toaster from the electrical outlet
first. Do not damage the internal mechanism or heating
elements when removing bread.

• Wait a minimum of 30 seconds between each toasting so

the color control can reset and you can get a uniform color
every time.

• Make sure the crumb tray is in place before using.

Notes

• Use a darker setting when toasting two bread slices at the

same time.

• If toasting continuously, toasting color for the first slices of

bread will be lighter than subsequent slices at the same
setting.
