SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including the
following:

Read all Instructions.

Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

To protect against electric shock, do not immerse
the cord, plugs, or electric griddle in water or other
liquid.

Close supervision is necessary when any appliance
is used by or near children.

Unplug from the outlet when not in use and
before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning the electric
griddle.

Do not operate the electric griddle with a
damaged cord or plug, or after the electric griddle
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
Return the electric griddle to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair,
or adjustment.

The use of accessory attachments not
recommended by the electric griddle’s
manufacturer may cause injuries, fire, or electric
shock.

Do not use outdoors.

Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a
table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

10  Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner

or in a heated oven.

11  Extreme caution must be used when moving an

appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

12  Do not use the electric griddle for anything other

than its intended use.

13  Make sure that your household voltage

corresponds to the voltage stated on your electric
griddle’s rating label.

14  Allow your electric griddle to cool completely

before moving it.

15  This appliance can be used by children aged from

eight years and above and persons with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.

16  Children shall not play with the appliance.
17  Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made

by children without supervision.

18  Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then

plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect,
turn any control to off, then remove the plug from
the wall outlet.

19  Do not use the appliance for other than its

intended use.

WARNING

The surface of this appliance may become very hot
during operation, which may cause blemishes,
discoloration, or stains on a tabletop. It is
recommended that you place non-plastic pads
between the appliance and the table top.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
  a) A short power-supply cord is to be provided to

reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in
or tripping over a longer cord.

  b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or

extension cords are available and may be used if care
is exercised in their use.

  c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or

extension cord is used:

    1)  The marked electrical rating of the cord or

extension cord should be at least as great as the

electrical rating of the appliance (1500 W);

    2) The longer cord should be arranged so that it

does not drape over a countertop or table top,

where it can be pulled on by children or tripped

  over

unintentionally.
