Capacitive Touchscreen
User Manual H12 / SCAMAX® 8x1 - Version 2019.12
4.7.5.1. System Language
This setting determines the global system lan-
guage which is used to for menus, menu items
and messages, on the scanner’s display. Additionally, individual users
may make their own and differing choice (
see chapter
). Besides the
three main system languages, English, German and French, Russian is
currently also available.
4.7.5.2. Inactivity Timeout
This field specifies the inactivity period (in mi-
nutes), which needs to pass without scanning or
use of the touch display, before the scanner will automatically enter energy-saving mode. The default
value is 15 minutes, however this can be reduced or increased as needed. Reducing the value to 0 will
turn off the automatic energy-saving mode, entirely. The scanner may be returned from energy-saving
mode by pressing button
Start/Pause
(
see chapter
), on the scanner itself.
4.7.5.3. Input/Output Hopper Down
These two fields control the degree of the mo-
torized lowering of the input and output trays.
The (
active
) input tray will be lowered by the
amount specified in field
Input Hopper Down
(in millimeters), whenever a scanner error occurs or if the Pause button is pressed. The exact behavior
depends on the choice made in the profile setting of the same name (
see chapter
). The output
tray will be lowered by the amount specified in field
Output Hopper Down
(in millimeters), provided
a High Speed Stacker Arm (
see chapter
) is installed and has been folded upwards.
4.7.5.4. Ink Imprinter Front/Back
The last two fields on this screen reflect the
status of the ink supply, for the imprinters Front
and Back. If these readings were not reset to
100%, after an ink cartridge has been replaced
with a new one (
see chapter
), or if these settings were inadvertently reset after cleaning and
re-installing a print head, you may use these controls to re-adjust these readings to the correct level.
4.7.6.
Export/Import - Updates
This menu item will open a screen with export-/import-functi-
onality and controls for updating the firmware of the scanner.
Both of these functions require a USB flash drive with a FAT32 partition. Flash drives formatted with
NTFS are not supported.
4.7.6.1. Job/Profile Export
This button will allow you to export job- and profile configurations created on this
scanner. This is useful for creating backups of all scanner internal configurations, but
it is also outstandingly suitable for transferring these to other scanners of the same type.
