HOW TO USE
Pre-heating
Make sure that the cooking plates are clean and free of dust. If necessary, clean with a damp
cloth. At first use, you may notice the output of a thin wisp of smoke. This is only due to the
heating of some components. Place the product on a flat surface. Open the plates and grease
them lightly with butter or cooking oil.
Close the plates and connect the product to the mains, the red operating light is turned on.
Set the thermostat control knob to the desired temperature, the green light will turn on. The
green light turns on indicating that the appliance has started the preheating phase.
Hold the plate closed during the preheating phase until the green “Ready to use” light (1)
is switched off.
Operation Mode
• Once the set temperature has been reached, place the food on the bottom plate and close
the electric plates.
The cooking of the toast is usually effected within 3-8 minutes.
• Use a non-metallic tool (such as a wooden spatula) to remove the toast from the plates. Do
not use sharp or abrasive kitchen utensils.
• Disconnect the product from the power supply after use.
Note: During cooking, the green light indicating when the appliance is ready to cook will turn
on and off to keep the appliance at the correct temperature.
USE THE PRODUCT WITH OPEN GRILL
• Place the contact grill on a flat and stable surface.
• Holding the handle with your left hand, use your right hand to slide the side lever toward
you. Open the grill until the upper part has touched the floor. Then align the plates to form a
larger cooking surface. It is now possible to place hamburger, steaks, poultry and vegetables
on plates.
Pay attention to the drip tray, so that the fat does not get out of the product.
To close the plates, once they have cooled, return the top plate to the initial position and
close the grid.
WARNING
: Open and close the grill only when the plates are cold, avoiding any risk of burns.
CLAEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before proceeding with any cleaning and maintenance operation, make sure to disconnect
the product from the mains and let the plates to cool completely down.
Cleaning the plates is easier when they are still lukewarm. It is not necessary to disassemble
the product for cleaning operations. Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
• Clean the cooking plates with a soft cloth to remove food residue. If cooking residues are
difficult to remove, you can intervene with a sponge soaked in water and detergent.
• Avoid using sharp metal tools or abrasive products as they may damage the coating of the
plates.
