Troubleshooting Guide

Trouble

Probable Cause

Solution

Low power

Low pressure at the Inlet

Check the air supply. For top performance, 
the air pressure must be 90 psig 
(6.2 bar/620kPa) at the inlet.

Internal dirt accumulation

Pour about 3 cc of a clean, suitable cleaning 
solution into the air inlet and operate the 
tool for a few seconds. Immediately, pour a 
few drops of the recommended oil into the 
air inlet and operate recommended oil into 
the air inlet and operate the tool for about 
30 seconds to lubricate the internal parts.

Worn Piston and/or Cylinder

Replace the Piston and/or Cylinder.

Lack of adequate lubrication

Check the lubricator to make sure it is 
working properly. If a lubricator is not used, 
pour a few drops of the recommended oil 
into the air inlet after every two hours of 
operation.

Leaky Throttle Sleeve

Worn Housing Seals

Replace the Housing Seals.
