Safe and efficient operation of your ARO
®
hoist can be attained by observing proper operating, inspection and
maintenance procedures. Allow only competent and qualified people to operate hoist and subject each hoist to a
regular inspection and maintenance procedure. The qualified hoist operator must be carefully instructed in the safe
operation of the hoist, including a study of the manufacturer’s literature, and must thoroughly understand proper
methods of hitching loads. The operator should have a good attitude regarding safety.
To aid in better understanding of proper and safe use of hoists: the publication “Overhead Hoists”, ASME B30.16 -
2017, can be purchased from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Three Park Avenue, New York, NY
10016.
