Place the handle into any locked position.

•  The handle is 

NOT

 locked until BOTH handle adjustment 

levers pop back out.

•  After setting the position, push and pull firmly on the 

handle to ensure that it is locked.

the infant car seat handle from changing adjustment 
positions.

7.2  Installing and Adjusting the Infant 

Car Seat on an Airplane  

(without a Base)

The infant car seat is compatible with most airplane seats. 
Follow the instructions for installing in an automobile to secure 
the infant car seat (see Section 7.1).

•  Notify the airline ahead of time that you intend to bring 

the seat on board.

•  Install the infant car seat in a rear-facing position only in a 

forward-facing aircraft seat. Consult your flight attendant 
regarding proper placement of the infant car seat.

• DO NOT

 use this infant car seat if the airplane seat belt 

does not hold it securely.
