Characters Per Inch
CHARACTERS PER INCH (CPI) specifies the number of characters that will
print per horizontal inch.

It is possible to specify a CPI value that causes the page width to exceed the
maximum physical page width. In this case, the printer automatically changes
the page width to the highest valid value for the new CPI.
NOTE:
Receipt of a data stream control code that specifies a CPI value
overrides any value entered via the operator panel.
Lines Per Inch
LINES PER INCH (LPI) specifies the number of lines that will print per vertical
inch.

It is possible to specify an LPI value that causes the page length to exceed
the maximum allowed page length. In this case, the printer automatically
changes the page length to the highest valid value for the new LPI.

Receipt of a data stream control that specifies the LPI value overrides
the value entered via the operator panel.
DBCS CPI
Defines the default values for horizontal character spacing in DBCS mode.
For the Hanzi LP+ printer, select from 5.0, 6.0, 6.7, 7.5, and Other CPI. For
the Hangul LP+ printer, selected from 5.0, 6.0, 6.7, 7.5, 8.5, 10, and other
CPI.
NOTE:
The factory default for the Hanzi LP+ printer is 6.7 cpi. The factory
default for the Hangul LP+ printer is 6.0 cpi. The factory default for the
Kanji LP+ printer is 7.5 cpi.
