6.6 Installing the Gas Liquid Separator

6.6.1 Introduction

The gas-liquid separator (PN 952-029-G1) provides gas-liquid separation through a
Genie

®

membrane separator.

CAUTION

The gas-liquid separator filters out liquid droplets in a gas sample. It is not
intended for liquid injections.

CAUTION

Sample inlet gas pressure must be less than 172 kPa (25 psi). Exceeding 172
kPa (25 psi) will damage Micro GC Fusion and require factory repair.

WARNING

Gas pressure on the gas-liquid separator sample vent may be up to 172 kPa
(25 psi). Extreme caution must be taken when venting the high pressure
sample to avoid personal injury.
