Mounting your speakers on a wall
NOTICE:
Do not mount the wall bracket on surfaces that are not sturdy
enough, or have hazards, such as electrical wire or plumbing, concealed
behind them. If you are unsure about installing the wall mounting bracket,
contact a qualified professional. Do not hang items from the brackets or
speakers. The brackets were specifically designed to support the weight of
‘Filo’ only.
1.
Separate the soft IN2UIT name plate from the mounting bracket
2.
Place the mounting bracket in the desired location against the wall and
mark the screw locations (x4) with a pencil, using the bracket as a
template. Use a tape measure to measure the height from the floor to
the marked holes and make sure they are level and equidistant. If you
plan to feed wires through the wall, mark the pilot hole position first.
3.
Insert plastic screw sets into the holes first. The screws are self-tapping,
however if your wall surface is hard, like concrete, drill pilot holes to
insert anchor plugs for the screws to engage with. Remember always
measure twice
4.
Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the screws (x4) provided
5.
Tighten the screws until flush with the flat surface. It is important not to
screw in too tightly as the plastic mounting bracket could crack and
damage
6.
Peel off the double sided tape and stick the soft name plate onto to the
recessed surface of the mounting bracket. Make sure it is square by
first aligning the corners. The mounting bracket is now ready to use
7.
Mounting operation is simple (see the picture inset), just align the
mounting bracket protrusion with the square hole receptacle in the back
of the unit. The two tiny hooks on the wall mounting bracket will engage
with the matching holes in the receptacle. Make sure it is seated and
engaged properly. It is a free hanging design, so you can attach/detach
Filo at your convenience for either wall or desk mounted listening
positions.
NOTICE:
The
ELECTROSTATZ
™ tweeter panels, LHS & RHS, are dipole
i.e. sound waves travel in both directions. To maintain the highest quality
acoustic performance, never block the rear sound output area and always
maintain at least a 3cm distance between the tweeter panels and the wall.
The mounting bracket will automatically provided the clearance required
