DESCRIPTION
The PULSEMIG is a semi-automatic welding unit; ventilated for semi-automatic welding (MIG or MAG) and can weld
steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Adjustment is quick and easy with its « synergic wire speed » function.
ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
The absorbed effective current (I1eff) shown on the machine is when used at maximum output. Check that the power
supply and its protection (fuse and/or circuit-breaker) are compatible with the necessary current during use.
The device must be placed in such way that the power socket is always accessible.
Do not use an extension cord which has a wire section smaller than 1.5 mm².
The PULSEMIG is supplied with a 16A plug 5 poles (3P+N+PE) 400V CEE17.. It must be connected to a 400 V (3PH)
supply WITH earth and protected by a circuit breaker (16A and 1 differential 30mA).
It can also be used on a 230V network ( PE), 50/60 Hz, then it will be advised to use the correct 20A plug.
- The machine will warn you if it is connected to a power supply under 360Veff or over 440Veff.
- Protected against overvoltage, the PULSEMIG will switch off automatically.

SEMI-AUTOMATIC WELDING FOR STEEL / STAINLESS STEEL (MAG MODE)
This device can weld 0.6/0.8/1 mm steel wires and 0.8/1 mm stainless steel wires.
The machine is delivered with Ø 0.8/1 rollers for steel and stainless steel welding. The value visible on the roller when
in place, is the wire diameter currently in use (FIG-3-B).
For Steel or Stainless Steel, you will need to use specific gas - Argon + CO2 (Ar + CO2). The proportion of CO2 will vary
depending on usage. For the specific requirements, seek advice from your gas distributor.
The gas flow for steel is between 8 and 15L / min depending on the environment.
SEMI-AUTOMATIC WELDING FOR ALUMINIUM (MIG MODE)
This device can weld 0.8/1/1.2 mm aluminium wires.
To weld aluminium, neutral gas “pure Argon” (AR) is required. When choosing gas, ask a gas distributor for advice. The
gas flow in aluminium should be between 15 and 25 L / min depending on the environment.
Things to note when welding with Aluminium
- Rollers: Use rollers specific to aluminium welding (U groove)
- Roller pressure: Set the pressure of the rollers to minimum so as not to crush the wire
- Capillary tube: Do not use a capillary tube when welding aluminium
- Torch: When welding aluminium use a special aluminium torch with Teflon sheath to reduce friction. Do not cut the
sheath near the connector! It is used to guide the wire from the rollers.
- Contact Tip: Use the specific Aluminium contact tip corresponding to the diameter of the wire.
