7.8 Bluetooth
The DABMAN i450 may be connected to an external device (e.g.
smart phone/tablet) via Bluetooth. Media
(locally stored MP3 files, streaming music, web radio) on the
external device can then be played though the radio via the Blue-
tooth connection.
The Bluetooth mode is recommended for when there is no net-
work connection available and you are in close vicinity to the radio
with the device to be connected.
Select Bluetooth in the menu.
(RX LED active on the front panel)
A Bluetooth connection must be established, to be able to send
audio files to the radio via Bluetooth.
7.8.1 Establish Bluetooth connection
When you select the Bluetooth mode on the radio, it is in pairing
mode and searches for Bluetooth devices to connect to.
Now activate the Bluetooth function on the external device to be
connected (for details, refer to the user manual of the device to
be connected). Search for “DABMAN i450” in the list of available
devices, select it and make the connection. Double arrows will ap-
pear in the upper left corner of the radio’s display. And a beep will
sound the announcement “Connected”
