Receiver for a 

Wireless Microphone

These instructions are intended for users without 
any specific technical knowledge . Please read these 
instructions carefully prior to operation and keep 
them for later reference .

All operating elements and connections de-

scribed can be found on the fold-out page 3 .

1  Overview

VU meter AF (audio frequency) for the audio 
signal received

Receiving antennas A and B

Display to indicate
– the channel group (GROUP 00 – 09)
–  the channel (CHANNEL 00 – 99) 

 

The corresponding frequencies can be found 
in the table on pages 24 / 25 .

–  the line output level adjusted (VOL 00 – 63) for 

the jack LINE OUT (12)

–  the RF signal strength (

)

–  which of the two receiving parts of the unit 

receives the most powerful radio signal; indi-
cation via the antenna symbol   on the left or 
on the right

Button SET: To change the channel group, the 
channel number or the line output level, press 
the button SET repeatedly until the correspond-
ing numerals start flashing on the display (3) . As 
long as the digits keep flashing, use the button 

 or 

 (5) to make the setting .

IR LED to send infrared signals for setting the 
channel of the wireless microphone

Button ACT
1 .  To send infrared signals for setting the channel 

of the wireless microphone: Press the button 
briefly .

2 .  To automatically scan a free receiving chan-

nel: Keep the button pressed until the display 
indicates the scan mode (

) .

POWER button
1 .  To switch on, keep the button pressed until 

the display lights up .

2 .  To switch off, keep the button pressed until 

OFF appears on the display .

Power supply jack to connect the power supply 
unit provided

2  Safety Notes

The units (receiver and power supply unit) corre-
spond to all relevant directives of the EU and are 
therefore marked with   .

WARNING

 
The power supply unit uses danger-
ous mains voltage . Leave servicing to 
skilled personnel; inexpert handling 
may result in electric shock .

• 

The units are suitable for indoor use only . Protect 
them against dripping water, splash water and 
high air humidity . The admissible ambient tem-
perature  range  is  0 – 40 °C .

• 

Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e . g . 
drinking glasses, on the units .

• 

Immediately disconnect the power supply unit 
from the mains socket if
1 . the receiver or the power supply unit is visibly 

damaged,

2 . a defect might have occurred after a unit was 

dropped or suffered a similar accident,

3 . malfunctions occur .
In any case the units must be repaired by skilled 
personnel .

• 

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use 
water or chemicals .

• 

No guarantee claims for the units and no liability 
for any resulting personal damage or material 
damage will be accepted if the units are used for 
other purposes than originally intended, if they 
are not correctly connected or operated, or if they 
are not repaired in an expert way .

If the units are to be put out of operation 
definitely, dispose of the units in accord-
ance with local regulations .

3  Applications

Combined with a wireless microphone, the re-
ceiver TXS-606 creates a wireless audio transmis-
sion system ideally suited for conferences as well
