3. Fit the lid [Fig H].
4. Fit the lid onto the bowl, turning the lid clockwise [Fig I].
5. Place the motor body of the hand blender on the chopper lid, making the triangle symbol line
up with the open symbol on the lid; turn the motor body anticlockwise until the triangle symbol
coincides with the closed symbol [Fig. L].
6. Connect the power cable plug to the power socket in the wall.
7. Press speed 1 button.
8. If a higher speed is necessary after starting, continue with speed 2.
9. At the end of the process, release the speed button used and wait for the blades to come to a
complete stop.
10. Remove the plug from the power socket.
11. Clean any parts that come into contact with foodstuffs immediately as described in the chapter
'Cleaning and care'.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Always disconnect the appliance from the socket
before cleaning or performing maintenance.
Clean the accessories according to the table indicated in the chapter Cleaning before using for the
first time.
• Wipe the motor unit with a dampened and thoroughly squeezed out sponge.
• Dry with a dry cloth.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Should one of the following problems occur, implement the proposed solution:

The hand blender blades cause the contents to

Push the foot end the stem more deeply into the
ingredients.
Use the appliance at speed setting 1.
The whisk attachment causes the contents of the
beaker to spatter and splash.
Keep the whisk vertical to begin with and only tilt
it when the mixture starts to whip up.

DISPOSAL
The packaging of the appliance is made of recyclable materials. Dispose of the packaging in
accordance with the environmental protection regulations.
Pursuant to Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), the
crossed bin symbol on the appliance or its packaging indicates that the appliance must be
disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its useful life.
The user must therefore take the appliance to an appropriate recycling centre for electrical
and electronic equipment. Alternatively, instead of handling the disposal, the user can hand
over the appliance to the retailer when a new, equivalent one is purchased. The user can hand over
electronic products measuring less than 25 cm to retailers of electronic products having a sales area
