The following table explains what each LED indicates when illuminated and any
corrective action you may need to take.
SAS3/SATA LEDs
Each SAS3/SATA drive carrier has two LEDs.
•
Green
: Each hard drive carrier has a green LED. When illuminated, this
green LED (on the front of the hard drive carrier) indicates drive activity. A
connection to the SATA backplane enables this LED to blink on and off
when that particular drive is being accessed.
•
Red
: The red LED indicates an SAS3/SATA drive failure. If one of the
SAS3/SATA drives fail, you should be notified by your system management
software.
LED Description
Warning
: Indicates the system health event has been
triggered. Check the system event viewer and/or the
SuperoDoctorIII monitor for additional reasons of possible
hardware failure.
NIC 1
: Indicates network activity on GLAN1 when flashing.
NIC 2
: Indicates network activity on GLAN2 when flashing.
HDD
: Indicates IDE channel activity and SAS3/SATA drive
activity when flashing.
Power
: Indicates power is being supplied to the system's
power supply units. This LED should normally be illuminated
when the system is operating.
