Overview
The HUC6801
+
D module is a broadcast-quality HDTV upconverter with aspect ratio
conversion (ARC) and SD/HD digital video distribution amplification capabilities.

Due to high levels of heat dissipation, the HUC6801

D module should not be
installed in frames without fans.The module cannot be installed in FR6802

DM and 6800/
7000 series frames.
Product Description
The HUC6801
+
D upconverter module provides conversion from SD-SDI to a user-selectable
HD-SDI standard. This module provides two active reclocked SD/HD-SDI outputs, four
synchronized HD-SDI outputs, and a genlock reference video input. They also include aspect
ratio conversion (ARC) capabilities, and can accept embedded audio and ANC data and
closed captioning support.
The module’s SDI input has error monitoring capabilities in the SD mode (EDH), and supports
external or midplane genlock sources.
The module can be controlled locally (via card edge) or controlled and monitored remotely
with CCS-compliant software and control panels.
