12. Servicing

Regular checks

Regular servicing of function and safety including the accessories is necessary and should be carried out at least once every 
three years, unless shorter intervals are prescribed by law.

The inspection must be undertaken by a qualified organisation and must include the following procedures:

Control unit

 

> External visual inspection

 

> Measurement of the device leakage current

 

> Measurement of patient leakage current

 

> Visual inspection of internal components on suspicion of safety interference, e.g., mechanical damage of the 

enclosure or indicators of overheating

Foot control

 

> External visual inspection

 

> Function test with check to see if the maximum speed can be reached

Processing cycles

 

> We recommend replacing the tip changer after 250 processing cycles

 

> Check signs of wear on the tips (see tip card)

The regular checking must only be performed by an authorised iM3 service partner.
