There is no sound on the external
speakers when connected by the
audio patch cable.
Speakers lack the power source.
The signal from LINE IN/OUT jacks needs to be amplified.
Use the active speakers or another amplified audio device.
FM band radio is noisy.
The rod antenna isn’t fully extended.
Extend the rod antenna fully.
AM band radio is very noisy.
The received AM radio signal is not strong enough.
Move around or rotate the main unit for the best reception.
Volume level on the device or the i552 is set too
high.
Decrease the volume.
Sound is distorted.
Sound source is distorted.
If the iPod original sound source (MP3) is of poor quality,
distortion and noise are easily noticed with high-power
speakers. Try a different audio source such as a music CD
to test.
Batteries are weak and outdated.
Change current battery with new battery.
Remote Control does not operate.
Remote control aimed away from the i552.
Move within 10 feet of the unit and then point the remote
control toward i552.
