Unloading the Camera
W h e n the last picture (No. 8) has been taken,
wind on the film until the end of the backing paper
passes the red window and then open the camera
back. Before removing the film, fold over the
end of the backing paper and seal it with the
adhesive paper strip attached ; then pull out the
winding knob to release the spool. The empty
spool should n o w be transferred to the wind-on
end ready for a new film to be inserted.
Closing the Camera
Press gently with the two thumbs on the strut
release pads and the baseboard will be released
from its erect position. Push the baseboard back
until it is engaged by means of the release catch.
General Instructions
Always keep the camera clean and free from
dust, inside and out. Make sure that no pieces of
paper from the film-sealing strips remain inside.
Dust on the lens should be removed with a sable
brush and finger marks polished off with Ilford
Lens Cleaning Tissue.
Never try to take the camera to pieces. It has
been carefully adjusted to give sharp negatives.
In case of trouble take the camera to your photo-
graphic dealer for repair. Give the camera the
same care as a watch or clock and don't drop it if
you can help it. W h e n at the seaside keep it off
