Add 2-3 drops of oil on the blade.

Replace the blade guard.
ADJUSTING BLADE TRACKING
This adjustment has been completed and tested at the factory. The need for adjustment should rarely
occur if the saw is used properly but if the tracking goes out of adjustment, the blade will leave the
wheel and damage will result. The method of adjustment is instructed below:
HORIZONTAL CUTTING OPERATION
Work set up
1.
Raise the saw head to vertical position.
2.
Open the vice to accept the piece to be cut by rotating the wheel at the end of the base counter-
clockwise.
3.
Place the workpiece on the saw bed. If the piece is long, support the end.
4.
Clamp the workpiece securely in the vice by rotating the handwheel clockwise.
Cutting (Fig. 2)
Let the head down slowly onto the work. Do not drop or force. Let the weight of the saw head pro-
vide the cutting force. The saw switches off automatically at the end of the cut. To adjust the blade:
1.
Loosen the screw (11).
2.
Adjust the blade adjusting seat (64) to make the blade vertical to the bed.
3.
Place a square on the bed to check if the blade is vertical. If not, repeat steps 1-3.
4.
Tighten the screw (11).
Lubrication
Lubricate the following components with lubricant:
1.
Ball bearing – none.
2.
Blade guide bearing – none.
3.
Drive wheel bearing – none.
4.
Vice leadscrew – as needed.
STEP 2:
Turn simultaneously with the adjusting
set screw to make the blade track against
the shoulder of the pulley.
STEP 1:
Loosen this hex screw before
turning the adjusting set screw.
STEP 3:
Turn simultaneously with the
blade tension knob to make
the blade track against the
shoulder of the pulley.
STEP 4:
Tighten this hex screw after
set screw is adjusted.
STEP 5:
Adjust the blade adjusting seat
according to the material size.
STEP 6:
Adjust the guide assembly to
where the blade just touches
the back-up bearing.
