cording to viscosity, other paint features and working conditions.
-
Keep a spraying distance of approximately 20-25cm to the surface. Always keep the spray gun at a right
angle with the painted surface and make straight and even vertical or horizontal strokes. Never spray with
rotating motions.
ADJUSTMENTS
Air pressure adjustment (not in all models)
Turn the air adjusting knob to increase or reduce air pressure.
Paint volume adjustment (not in all models)
Turn the paint adjusting knob to increase or reduce paint volume.
Spraying pattern adjustment (not in all models)
Turn the pattern adjusting knob to make the spray pattern wider or narrower.
Working tips
The most efficient atomization air pressure is the lowest air pressure that will properly atomize the paint. This
will minimize overspray, so more paint will be deposited on the surface leaving paint wastage to minimum. So
always attempt to maintain the lowest pressures, this will ensure maximum efficiency.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always clean the spray gun immediately after use. Always disconnect paint and air supply before performing
any cleaning or maintenance work.
-
Clean the paint cup and its cover thoroughly with solvent. Then add clean solvent to the cup, close the
cover and pull the trigger until the spray is clear. Carefully remove all remaining solvent from the cup as
solvent vapours will damage the gaskets.
-
Then remove the air nozzle, fluid nozzle and fluid needle, soak them in solvent and clean thoroughly with
a soft brush. Never use wire or other sharp metal objects to clean holes or air channels.
-
Slightly oil all moving external parts.
-
Do not tighten the fluid needle packing completely, as this could damage the fluid needle.
-
Do not turn the paint adjusting knob too far to the left, as this could damage the fluid needle spring and
make the fluid nozzle leak.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Cause
Solution
Fluttering spray
Too little paint in paint cup.
Dry or worn fluid needle packing causes air
leakage.
Loose or damaged fluid nozzle.
Refill paint.
Replace fluid needle packing.
Tighten or replace fluid nozzle.
Crescent spray
pattern
Clogged air nozzle.
Clean air nozzle with solvent and appropri-
ate cleaning tools. Never use wire or other
sharp metal objects.
