Initial Camera Setup

Insert a fully charged battery.

Insert and format a memory card.

Set camera date and time.

Set Mode Dial to “Av” Aperture Priority.

Set ISO to 80.

Raise the camera flash to it’s open or “UP” position.

Set Flash to forced “On .”
- In the Flash Settings Menu set Flash Mode to “Auto”, and
Red-Eye Corr. and Red-Eye Lamp to “Off.”

Set White Balance to “Auto AWB.”
-
Set Image Quality to “Superfine” and “L.”

Set Metering to “Center Weighted Avg.”

Set AF-assist Beam to “Off.”
-
Set AF Frame to “Center.”
-
Set AF Mode to “Single.”
-
Set Review to 5 seconds.
-
Set IS Mode to “Shoot Only.”
- In the Power Saving menu, set Auto Power Down to “Off” and Display
Off to “3 min.”
NOTE:
Make sure that the camera flash is in the “up” or “raised” position
before closing your housing with the camera inside.
