General Information
This document details installation instructions for the SV4.5HTKCT, SV4.5HTKCT20, all SFKITXXCT, and
SF4.5HTKCT horizontal compact termination kits. Information provided here supplements the instructions provided
with each fireplace and may be redundant to that information. The intent of this document is to provide complete
instructions for the aforementioned terminations, particularly any instructions exclusive to the installation of
these terminations.
These horizontal compact terminations are intended for use ONLY with the following IHP direct-vent gas fireplaces:
• Aries 33”, -35”, -40”
• DRT/DRC2033, -2035, and -2040
• VeniceLightsTEN, VeniceLightsTEP
• DRL4543TEN, DRL4543TEP
These terminations may not be used with other models. The terminations covered by this document seamlessly
integrate with all other components of the approved fireplaces, and when installed in accordance with the directions
provided here—and with the fireplace—constitute a complete, approved and listed installation.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR IHP HORIZONTAL COMPACT
TERMINATION KITS FOR USE WITH DIRECT-VENT GAS FIREPLACES
[Kit models SV4.5HTKCT, SV4.5HTKCT20, all SFKITXXCT, SF4.5HTKCT]
WARNING
HOT GLASS WILL CAUSE BURNS. DO NOT TOUCH GLASS UNTIL COOLED. NEVER ALLOW CHILDREN TO
TOUCH GLASS.
• Install only when fireplace is OFF and COLD.
• Fireplace surfaces get EXTREMELY HOT!
• The glass on the front of the fireplace reaches EXTREMELY HIGH temperatures and can cause severe
burns if touched. Even after the gas is turned off, fireplace surfaces remain extremely hot.
• Keep children away from an operating fireplace. Closely supervise children in any room where a
fireplace is operating to prevent contact with glass.
