GENERAL INFORMATION

The fl oor media kit is used to give a more natural appearance to the
fi replace fl oor where the gas log set is installed.

READ ALL THE STEPS BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION

THE APPLIANCE MUST BE OFF AND COLD BEFORE BEGINNING.

ALL WARNINGS, PRECAUTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS IN THE 
INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL PROVIDED WITH THE 
APPLIANCE APPLY TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

If you encounter any problems, need clarifi cation of these instructions
or are not qualifi ed to properly install this kit, contact you local 
distributor or dealer.

If any of these parts are missing or damaged, contact your dealer or 
IHP.us.com for referral information.

KIT CONTENTS

1 ea. Volcanic Stone
1 ea. Ember Material

WARNING

 

Make sure the unit is turned off and cool before 
adding fl oor media material to fi replace fl oor.

 

Do not add extra logs or ornaments such as pine 
cones, vermiculite or glowing embers (rockwool). 
Using these added items can cause sooting. Use 
only the material included in this kit.

 

Do not place volcanic stone, embers or fi ber  log 
pieces on logs or burners. This may cause sooting. 
Place fl oor media material only on the fi replace fl oor.

INSTALLING FLOOR MEDIA KIT

1. 

Place decorative log pieces randomly as desired on fi replace hearth. 
Place volcanic stone around base of unit making sure the burner 
ports and valve access are not blocked 

(see

 Figure 2

).

 Retain a 

small amount of volcanic stone to be used in step 4.
