4.
The two sprockets (Item 1) [Figure 56] must be
aligned. Measure from the sweeper frame to the
center of the sprocket tooth. Both sprockets need to
be 35 mm for chain alignment and to prevent
premature chain wear.

5.
If the sprockets need to be adjusted for proper
alignment, loosen the two set screws (Item 1)
[Figure 57] on the broom sprocket and move the
sprocket in or out on the shaft until aligned with the
drive motor sprocket. Apply thread lock adhesive to
the set screws and tighten.
NOTE:
Check the chain tension / alignment every
time the chain is greased.

6.
The proper chain deflection should be 0.5 mm at the
center of the chain span. To adjust the chain tension,
loosen the bolts / nuts (Item 2) [Figure 56] and rotate
the motor [Figure 58] until the chain is snug. Tighten
the bolts / nuts. Recheck chain tension as specified
above.
7.
Apply grease to the entire new chain.
(See Lubrication Locations on Page 36) .
NOTE:
Always use a good quality lithium-based
multipurpose grease.
