7 Installation
To be able to make full use of the unit’s functions, the ifmVisionAssistant software is required for
parameter setting.

7.1 Update firmware

Download the ifmVisionAssistant software via the download area of the unit:
If a certified fieldbus system is required:

Only use certified firmware for the updates.
u
Export the configuration of the unit before updating the firmware.

Configurations saved in the unit get lost when the firmware is updated.

Connect the unit to the ifmVisionAssistant software.
u
Update the firmware of the unit.
u
Import the configuration of the unit.
