5 Terms & Conditions of Safe and Efficient Use and Mounting
5.1 Operation should be carried out in accordance with the acting
requirements of electrical safety rules as well as other normative and technical
documentation regulating exploitation, adjustment and maintenance of electrical
facilities.
5.2 Mounting, connection and putting MCBs into operation should be
performed only by qualified electrical personnel.
5.3 VDs are installed onto 35mm wide rails (DIN-rail) according to the
requirements of IEC 60715.
5.4 Connecting MCBs to the contact screw terminals is carried out with the
help of copper or aluminum wires limited to 35mm2 in section.
5.5 After mounting and testing the implementation correctness, electric
network voltage is applied to the circuit breaker and it is turned on by switching
the control lever to “I” - “ON” position.
Switching positions are indicated on the control level using the following
symbols:
“О” – MCB is off;
“I” – MCB is on.
5.6 MCB that has been switched off due to overload can be turned
back on by switching the control lever to “I” position after the cool down of
thermobimetallic release (3 min max.).
5.7 MCBs do not require any special servicing during their exploitation.
IT IS RECOMMENDED to tighten contact screw terminals once every 6
months since their pressure tends to weaken because of cyclic variations of the
ambient temperature and metal flow of the tightened conductors.
5.8 Under normal operation after the expiration of its service life, the device
poses no hazard in further exploitation.
5.9 Operation conditions:
– operation temperature range – from –40°С to +50°С;
– base altitude – 2000m max.;
– atmosphere relative humidity – 50% at +40°С. Permitted relative humidity:
90% at +20°С;
– operative position: vertical with the possible deviation per 90° to the right
or left side.
6 Safety Requirements
6.1 Exploitation of these circuit breakers should be carried out in
accordance with “Regulations for Operation of Consumer Electrical Installations”
and the present Operation Manual.
Feasibility of using the modular circuit breakers in conditions different from
those indicated in p. 5.9 shall be coordinated with the manufacturer.
